Wax Marina Boat Club

How long is each reservation?  Your session can begin as early as 8:30 am and go until 6:00 pm.  Members can book after hours with an after hours checkout and agreement to allow us to fuel the vessel the next morning and to charge the account on file.  If you plan to come in later or back in early, please let us know so we can adjust the schedule in case another member wants to use the vessel before or after your reservation.

Is there a limit how often I can use the boats?  There is no limit to how many times you can use the boats.  We encourage you to use them as if they were your own, giving you the ability to boat at your discretion.

What days are the club open?  The club is open seven days a week, April 15th to October 15th based on the lake level and weather.

How hard is it to get a boat when I want one?  Availability is key to our club success.  We ensure boat availability by keeping the lowest member-to-boat ratio in the industry.  Typically 6-8 members per boat.

What if I've never boated before or don't feel comfortable behind the wheel?  No need to worry, we are ideal for new boaters.  We offer individual training sessions for every new member and their spouses.  Each member will get training on each vessel to include docking, cruising, towing, location of storage, emergency items, power settings and trim, etc.

What other features does the club offer?  Prior to your scheduled departure, you'll have the option to reserve ice, beverages, and deli food to be waiting for you upon your arrival.  Wax has some incredible breakfast sandwiches, burgers and more!  Your membership will also allow a 10% discount in our ship store on all items including food, and free access to our club watersports toys, such as tubes, skis, lily pads, and wakeboard.

Who is Wax Marina Boat Club meant for?  We are the ideal solution for anyone who is looking to get into boating in the greater Kentuckiana area.  Whether you're a seasoned boater or someone just starting out, we provide a complete hassle-fee boating experience for you, your family, and friends.  Members will find they spend more time on the water and have more flexibility over owning their own boat.

I'm not sure I'll use the boat club enough to justify membership?  As a member, you'll actually find yourself going out on the water more than if you owned your own boat.  Without having to worry about cleaning, storage, launching, towing, and maintenance, you can focus on spending more time with friends and family on the lake!  Members save 1.5 to 2 hours on average of their own time every time they take out a boat club vessel.  Not to mention as a member, you can save thousands in costs associated with owning your own boat.

How do I reserve a boat?  Our online reservation system makes booking a breeze.  All of your information is prefilled after the first time you fill it out, so booking takes just a few minutes.  Each member can have up to  3 reservations on the calendar at one time and has unlimited bookings throughout the season.  You can even call or book within 24 hours of the launch without affecting your future reservations.

What is the capacity of the boats in the club?  The 19' Yamaha Runabout can carry up to 9 people depending on weight.  The Tahoe Cascade Slide Boat can carry up to 14 people depending on weight.  The Yamaha Waverunners can carry up to 2-3 at a time depending on weight.  We will continue to purchase new boats as membership grows to include more variety.

Does the club provide lifejackets for its members?  Yes we provide nice neoprene lifejackets free of charge to its members, with sizes ranging from child to adult.  Members will be responsible to provide infant life jackets however.  We also provide watersports toys to our members to maximize your day on the water.

Can I share my club account with my friends?  You are more than welcome to bring your friends along as long as they sign a release of liability waiver.  However the club boats can only be reserved and driven by club members or their spouse/partner that are listed on the club agreement contract.

Can I bring my pet onboard?  Yes we are a pet friendly club.  However, any excess pet hair, stains, or messes will be charged a $50 cleaning fee.  If carpet, upholstery, or interior is damaged due to pets or guests, the member is responsible to pay for repair beyond normal wear and tear.  Again, treat these vessels as if they were your own.

What is the club's reservation cancellation policy?  Failure to cancel within 24 hour period from the launch date will result in a warning.  A second violation will result in weekend restrictions for a 4 week period.  Members will be able to add themselves to the waiting list of any days that are reserved by another member in case of cancellations.

What is the club's cancellation policy for the club?  There is no required period for your membership, you can cancel at anytime.  We do require a 60 day notice for any club cancellation with dues paid through the end of the membership.  Initiation fee is non-refundable, regardless of how long you are part of the club.
